Design is Kool @ Space23

In occasion of the Design Week 2016 Space23 has decided to be part of it and host a true art exhibition inside the Milan Store located in Corso Garibaldi. Protagonists of this event will be the wonderful creations of Marco Lodola. Open day is April the 12th together with the International Fair “Il Salone del Mobile” which will end on April 17th. Marco Lodola was born in Dorno (Pavia) and has attended the “Accademia delle Belle Arti” in Florence and Milan. His exhibitions around Italy and Europe, starting from the 1983, took place in Rome, Milan, Florence, Bologna, Lion, Vienna, Madrid, Barcelona, Paris and Amsterdam. In 1996 he started working in the US, Miami and NY. He has cooperated with Swatch, Riva and Valentino. He has also collaborated with writers as Aldo Busi and with musicians as Max Pezzali, Jovanotti, Syria and the Stadio. For this event Marco Lodola will present inside the Space23 Milan Sneaker Store a very peculiar art collection. This form of art perfectly suits Space23 Store mood and concept: a selection of “lighting box” sculptures representing athletes in action. Lodola and Space23 have the common passion for Sport and Design and Art. A 3 meters high sculpture located next to the store entrance will welcome the visitors and clients. The great sculpture will represent a Tai Chi dancer. This discipline was born as martial art, has developed as meditative dance for mental and physical health. During the Cocktail Party “Design is Kool” and the Dj-set from 6 to 10 pm on the 13th of April you will of course be able to meet the artist and several artists and Sport protagonists.
