Mimesis Material Performances

The project realized by Ceramiche Refin, Istituto Marangoni - The School of Design - Ooniko, will be presented in the Refin Studio spaces, in the silent and charming Via Melone, in the heart of Brera. As in Aristotelian aesthetics and poetics, the concept of mimesis possesses, as an imitation of the ideal form of reality, a positive meaning, whereby the artist's work, similar to the operation of nature, is the expression of a constructive process. founded on a set of techniques and shared values, such as to form, within a given matter, a copy corresponding to the pure ideal essence present in the soul of the artist.

This is the inspiration of the young talents of Istituto Marangoni School of Design who have accepted the challenge of creating a series of products capable of triggering a narrative connection between reflection and representation. The glass table objects created by the students and produced by Ooniko will dialogue with the Ceramiche Refin Vetri porcelain stoneware collection, giving rise to a game of contrasts and similarities.
