Milano Design Award 2017

Having become one of the most anticipated events of Milano Design Week since 2011, the Milano Design Award continues to be the one and only award that celebrates the best exhibition design at Fuorisalone.

Many are the criteria leading to the choice of the winner, among which are concept, technology, storytelling and engagement, which represent some of the awarded categories.

Among the news of this year is the presence of four awards: Press Choice, assigned by a jury composed by representatives of the international press, The Unicorn for the most innovative and disruptive installation and two connected Lifetime Achievement awards (designer and company).

This year the careers award, relating to the history of the Fuorisalone and assigned by districts, will be assigned to Cappellini as historic company in the design industry and to Tom Dixon for his work as designer.

The prizes are assigned by an international jury, which will be composed for the 2017 edition by Luca Cipelletti (architect and winner of the Milan Design Award 2016), Giorgio Di Salvo (designer), Evan Orensten (Cool Hunting), Marco Velardi (Apartment), Olimpia Zagnoli (illustrator).

The awards ceremony will be held April 6 at Teatro dell'Arte of the Triennale di Milano, with a special performance of Japanese taiko drums and tip tap and a party in the Garden. By invitation only
