During Milan’s Design Week, the Italian art designer Alex Turco will present a preview of his fourth collection of work on panels entitled “OPEN YOUR EYES”.
Each one of his collections bears a specific theme, which is common to all panels: if “WOMAN TRIBUTE” pays homage to feminine sensibilities and “IDEAL ME” bares fears and values of the artist, “OPEN YOUR EYES” follows the leading threads of the recent “DREAMERS”.
Once again, after having manifested their desire to dream, the eyes are the protagonists of the five new panels.
Alex Turco’s latest artwork “CUBES” will also be released during Milan Design Week 08: it is a unique and innovative aluminum cube, which appears to be in a liquid-like state, printed and worked by means of the artist’s developed technical mix of the sparkly chromatic colors GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE.
“CUBES” is the result of the mission of my brand –Alex Turco says – which merges art with design, innovating the world of interior design through the creation of new complementary furnishings.
Alex Turco is an art designer.
He nourishes the formative aspects of his creativity capturing from photography experimental techniques, which combined with his graphic ability and manual sensibility, result in a very peculiar outcome.
From his original mixed technique, as applied to furnishing accessories, a new artistic brand is born, floating among FASHION, ART and DESIGN.
Alex Turco’s artistic and commercial mission aims to the creation of a new “life-style”; a route, or better said, a gamble: to suggest and spread a new concept of art as applied to furnishing.
MILAN DESIGN WEEK 08
“OPEN YOUR EYES” and “CUBES” will debut on April 17th at an open house at NHOW Hotel during Milan’s Design Week, which is scheduled to take place between the 16th and the 21st of April. Those are the days of Salone del Mobile and Fuorisalone, the world most important shows of their kind, which are paralleled by numerous related events in one of the most hip neighborhoods of the city [namely Tortona].
