Milan, February 2008 – The first stage of the international ideas prize entitled  C-Design: Combine, Connect, Create, promoted by Citroën, a prestigious French car manufacturer, has ended. The initiative, launched with the aim of taking the car to the centre of attention in design and planning, was a challenge to innovation and creativity.
Indeed, the designers had to reinterpret and combine together 100 parts making up the mechanics and bodywork of Citroën cars, turning them into items for everyday use.

The projects which reached the finals will compete for the selection of 3 winners, who will be sharing a grand prize of Euro 20,000. In addition, among all the projects, two will be picked to be assigned special mention.

Some of the ideas selected turned into prototypes, becoming the protagonists of a show open to the public for the entire week dedicated to the Salone del Mobile furniture show in the splendid setting of the 31st floor of the Pirelli Skyscraperwhere the Lombardy Region offices are located, an important Italian rationalism architectural work, which will contribute to making this international-scale event even more prestigious
