VITEO>OUTDOORS – SERIES 2008

In 2008 VITEO presents the new series SOLO COLLECTION, completely made of thermo ash tree. The products of the already well established series HOME COLLECTION present themselves in untreated teak and in ash tree with a brown or white glaze, each type combined with a base of stainless steel. The VITEO_WHITE series is still made from an extremely durable laminate material in combination with stainless steel.
The VITEO URBAN COLLECTION which has been displaying innovative design products outside of the Home Collection since 2006 is complemented by an outdoor waterbed. New in 2008 is the series OUTDOOR SOUND that presents two outdoor speakers made by NACSound. For the fields of shadowing and lighting VITEO has also come up with beautiful, functional designs in the VITEO_SHADOW and VITEO_LIGHT series.


1. SOLO COLLECTION by WIM SEGERS

The idea behind the new design of the VITEO SOLO collection developed by Wim Segers, is to show tradition in a simple, modern form. It’s not just the uncluttered style: ergonomics and durability also determine the philosophy of the SOLO collection..
The careful choice of materials is completely in line with the environmental awareness of our times. True to the motto ‘back to nature’ all items in the series are made completely out of Thermo Ash. Given that VITEO has already been working with ash since last season (Home Collection, glazed ash), we can talk of a natural further development in the use of home-grown timbers. What’s more, the innovative thermal process (high temperature treatment) which makes a resin-free and extremely tough material ideally suited for outdoor and spa use without the addition of chemical substances is ecologically justifiable. A further feature of the process is the dark colouring of the timber, which underlines the elegance of the SOLO collection.
All products are offered in a choice of different sizes: tables range from the smaller model for 4 people to the grand garden table measuring 3.60 m in length, which is of course accompanied by matching benches and chairs. Those preferring a lounge style will undoubtedly wish to opt for the lower, extremely comfortable Solo Easy Chair. VITEO also offers a choice of three table heights for customer convenience.
Eye-catching among these simple, aesthetically pleasing creations are the relatively prominent table, chair and bench legs which lend a modern, extravagant accentuation to the traditional style components of the Solo collection.


2. HOME COLLECTION by WOLFGANG PICHLER

To underline the simple elegance of the VITEO_Home Collection and at the same time offer even more choice, all wooden elements in the collection are now available in a natural (untreated wooden slats made of teak) and glazed finish (ash tree with a dark brown or white glaze) – combined with stainless steel.
The multi-functional character of this product series is based on the principle of modular construction, the basic elements of the Home Collection such as benches, tables and loungers are also available in different heights. This wide choice of variations allows the furniture to be combined in highly individual ways.
New in 2008 is the OUTDOOR KITCHEN XL that has all the elements you need recombined into one. This single element consists of a worktop, a sink connected to the mains via a garden hose and, inspired by Japanese tradition, a teppan-yaki to cook on. To ensure everything is well within reach, the lower shelf (made of wood or stainless steel) offers ample room for tools and dishes.


3. URBAN COLLECTION by DANNY VENLET

Following on from Q Stool , the Outdoor Shower and the sofa BendyBay, the outdoor water bed LYLO is now the fourth masterpiece to have been completed by Belgian-Australian designer Danny Venlet for the VITEO>OUTDOORS Urban Collection series.

Waves are energy in motion. Objects floating on a wave are not swept along by the water, but bob up and down instead. On boats, it’s this rocking movement which quickly sends us into a peaceful sleep. With the LYLO waterbed, which features a weatherproof surface, you can now expe¬rience this feeling right in the middle of your own garden.
The bed measures 220 cm in diameter and 35 cm in height. The bottom part is made of white polyester; it consists of an inner section made from foamed plastic and the layer which is filled with water (waterbed). The bottom part is covered by a comfortable 5 cm thick overlay taken from Outdoor Skai. It consists of 3 parts and is available in a choice of colours: cocoa, lemon, white or brown.
And if you’d like to make things even cuddlier, then you’ll also want to have the soft Extra Cushions, available in all the materials of the VITEO product range, as a special accessory.





4. LIGHT by W. PICHLER & R.STEINBÖCK

Thanks to their special materials and finishing, VITEO_Light Cubes are particularly suited to outdoor use, though they can also be used to jazz up interiors in a highly interesting way.
Enhanced strength and durability also make the Light Cubes an attractive form of seating furniture.

The new Outdoor Living Lamp “ZOE” combines the benefits of a powerful light source with the beauty of an elegant design.
This outstanding reading lamp for the garden and patio combines the benefits of a powerful light source emitted using white luminescent power LEDs with the beauty of an elegant design. Here, a cylindrical lampshade made of opal acrylic glass has been mounted on top of a 185 cm high metal rod coated with structural powder. The base consists of a mounting plate which can also be screwed fast to any subsurface near the property, for example, if so desired.
ZOE is powered by environmentally friendly solar energy. The lamp will provide about five hours of light once fully charged (after about 15-16 hours of sunlight). The energy is stored in rechargeable batteries located in the lamp-shade. Since the solar lamp can be positioned just as you wish, wherever you wish, it gives you the flexibility to light up even the most obscure parts of your garden and patio: forget about plugs, you can take the lamp along with you wherever you go!


5. OUTDOOR SOUND by NACSound

Design is the art of combining the functional with the aesthetic. Thanks to their technical perfection, the VITEO>OUTDOORS loudspeakers by NACSound offer an incomparable audio experience, but are actually also beautiful design objects.
The hand finished loudspeaker ZEMI (Design: E. Frolet & F. Pellisari) is made of glazed ceramic and re¬sponds to any amplifier, the model FREEWHEELER (Design; R. Arad & F. Pellisari), made of lacquered wood, is wireless, meaning that it can be positioned anywhere – and that with digital sound quality!
