SALONE DEL MOBILE 2008: CHATEAU D’AX CELEBRATES 60 YEARS IN 6 EVENTS IN MILAN
To celebrate its sixtieth anniversary, Chateau d’Ax has planned a series of events to take place from 15 to 21 April 2008, “in and out” of the Salone.
Chateau d’Ax, a market leader in producing and trading in upholstered furnishings, dialogues with the market through a “democratic” product range, one that is within everyone’s price bracket, despite its high quality and excellent design. Established in the early fifties in Lentate sul Seveso, in the heart of the Brianza area in the province of Milan, the firm was directed by the intuition of its founder, Bruno Colombo, to specialise in the upholstery sector, where it has since become a world-level benchmark.
On the occasion of the 2008 Salone del Mobile – Milan International Furniture Fair, Chateau d’Ax is launching a new collection for the home: the new D’Ax Design collection will be previewed on 15 April in the company’s showroom in Largo Augusto 8, in the presence of the internationally acclaimed architects Cini Boeri and Michele de Lucchi, whose names are so familiar from the world’s leading architectural journals.
In particular, Cini Boeri will be presenting a system of seating with a rigid plastic shell, a bedroom complete with a walk-in closet, cupboard systems for the living room, with sliding, modular bookcase units and modules for partitioning rooms, made mostly with innovative materials, and several furnishing accessories to complete the picture of ranges, including a system of wireless lamps, a knock-down table and a disappearing kitchen unit.
For his part, Michele de Lucchi will be following his working continuum, with its focus on using natural materials, by presenting a modular bookcase, cupboards and dressers, tables and seating systems designed for Chateau d’Ax.
In addition to the conventional living room and bedroom areas, much attention is now also being devoted to the kitchen: on 16 April, the focus in the showroom in Largo Augusto will shift this way, as the presentation of the new kitchen line plays host to the Bio Cooking event, organised in partnership with Bosch, with chef Simone Rugiati offering a live demonstration of how to use the exclusive steam oven.
Come back next day on 17 April to admire the whole range of Chateau d’Ax kitchens: no better way to convince you that Chateau d’Ax Cucina is a complete firm-within-a-firm, not just a mere stab at adding a new division.
With 13 models and more than 300 finishes to choose from, Chateau d’Ax Cucina is a born glutton.
But there’s more to do on 17 April than indulge in your dream kitchen, as we are also presenting our “relax&motions” collection: relaxing armchairs with a built-in massage function, all completely Made in Italy in the Chateau d’Ax workshops.
Any time you have a moment as of 15 April, drop over to Piazzale Lodi to take a look at the first Chateau d’Ax Casa franchise shop, featuring all the living, bedroom and kitchen collections.
Inside the fair itself, come along to stand C09 / D12 in Hall 9, where Chateau d’Ax is presenting the NEW line designed by Ennio Arosio, complete with new finishes and immediately available in the franchise shops. The event entitled “Where am I?” interprets the style of the world’s capitals: don’t miss it!
The launch of Chateau d’Ax kitchens marks the culmination of a project started back in 1995, whose aim was to furnish the entire home. The kitchen project partners with the new designs created by the architects for D’Ax Design to stimulate a new challenge for Chateau d’Ax: things are promising to get exciting! This is how we go about making our dream come true: creating the complete décor for the world’s most beautiful houses.
