STUGAPROJECT FUORISALONE 2008

Between the 25th March and the 21Th April 2008, in Milan, Atelier Forte, situated at the 34 of via Corelli, a wood construction Workshop will be developed:

the StugaProject FuoriSalone.

For the first time in Milan, in analogy with the summer master AtelierFORTE StugaProject, that the architect Duilio Forte organizes in Sweden, since 2002, the StugaProject FuoriSalone means the realization of a small sauna that will be exposed and tested during the FuoriSalone of Milan Salone del Mobile.

Organized by Arch. Duilio Forte and Prof. Arch. Luca Buttafava, supported by Arch. Francesco Gorni, the Workshop is a modern interpretation of the experience of “andare a bottega”.

Twelve participants selected will live a full immersion experience, 22 days, from Monday to Friday, dipped in a spirit of strong involvement and passion. In such sense the twelve apprentices will live together with their masters for all the duration of the course, inside the AtelierFORTE.

The Workshop purpose is learning wood constructive techniques, putting themselves out to work out issues closely related to the realization of a complex wood manufactured product, and, at the same time, creating and organizing an happening of FuoriSalone2008.

Each student in fact, beyond following theoretical lessons and participating in the sauna construction, will realize a personal Book, where he will record his personal Workshop experience, using optionally techniques (text, sketches, photos, images, web, videos, blog...).The Books realized will be exposed during FuoriSalone happenings.



During the whole month, the Workshop "absolute experience",will propose some evening meetings. Such kind of meeting will offer to the students the possibility to interact with important personalities of culture world, including Valeria Saltari, Fabio Novembre, Matteo Ragni, Modoloco, Michele Nastasi and Beppe Finessi.

Two different kinds of meeting will be organized: "Sauna with... “and "Dinner con...”: two ways to enter in contact with planners, journalists, artists, designer and architects without the classic formality of academic ex cathedra lessons.



All Workshop activities will be visible live online, through the webcam on the official website www.atelierforte.com.



Beyond the entire Workshop participation, including the three weekly modules and the fourth week, the one of “Salone del Mobile”, it will be also possible to participate to a single weekly module or to single workday.



From the 15th to the 20th of April, in occasion of Milan Design Week, the evocative context of AtelierFORTE will open to visitors, which, beyond visiting the exposition of realized books, will have the chance of experience and test the sauna constructed during the Workshop.



At the same time AtelierFORTE it will introduce some of its recent woks: Thalamus bed, Freyja seat, Freyr table and Odin table, visible at: http://www.atelierforte.com/store/store.html



During the week AtelierFORTE will host various events linked to the Workshop.

In particular, the 15th April, from 19.00 to 24.00, there will be the Expo Opening, Friday 18th a Party and 20 Sunday 20th the Closure Brunch.
