Following up on last year's success, Artek, the internationally known and recognised quality design brand, presents a "must see" installation in SuperstudioPi├╣ at this year's furniture fair in Milan. Among flying table tops, Finnish birch trunks and plateau furniture displays the company launches its new furniture textile; Velvet Lily. In an installation covering 430 square meters, the classic Artek furniture collection has been enhanced with Velvet Lily and two other new seating textiles. Also on show for the first time is Tray Table Y807, a re-issued product taken from the company's Alvar Aalto design archive.
Artek's new furniture textile, Velvet Lily, is a result of the company's recently launched cooperation with Ratti Group, one of Europe's leading designer and producer of textiles for the fashion and design industry. On show for the first time, Velvet Lily enhances and gives an elegant and exciting appearance to Artek's classic furniture.
THIBA AND BULAG
On show at SuperstudioPi├╣ are also Thiba and Bulga, two furniture textiles that were launched during Stockholm Furniture Fair earlier this year. Also Thiba and Bulga are designed and produced by Ratti Group and will be new additions to Artek's furniture textile collection.
NEW EDITION AALTO TABLE - TRAY TABLE Y807
Artek continues to re-introduce innovative quality designs from their Alvar Aalto design archive. In SuperstudioPi├╣ the company presents Tray table Y807 for the first time. Tray table Y807 is a side table or coffee table with a removable top that functions as a tray. The new edition of the table is based on a prototype made by Aalto in the late 1940's. The design is predominately focused on function but as always with Aalto products also innovation, quality and technology are differential factors.
