Mascherenere Visual Arts
Sunugal Association, in collaboration with Mascherenere, proposes for the Salone del Mobile 2010 a workshop to raise awareness on issues of sustainability and co-development in Senegal, in particular the campaign "Tree sponsorship" focused on the theme of environment protection, earth, water, sun, air, as a common place of belonging for human beings, and as a possibility to build together a future based on shared resources, and ability to participate.
Planting trees can give back not only good fruit to eat and healthy air to breathe, but it can also show our children what can be done and must be built for a better living, and that anyone can be the author of a piece of green, not as his own turf, but as a common good.
To achieve this objective, the Association Sunugal has come up with a way to "send out" the roots of this project, through an Access platform intended to anyone who wants to sponsor the project and take over the sponsorship of trees to be planted in villages.
In this cooperation we are all committed the same way, in order to multiply the plants and the sense of this undertaking: Restoring to the Earth that was cut off!
Mascherenere is one of the labs associated with La Fabbrica del Vapore; they are a founder member of the Cultural FDVLAB Association.
Mascherenere is a laboratory for theater and was founded in 1990 when some African and Italian artists met, whose main aim was to spread the culture of Black Africa in Italy.
