My Gallery is proud to present the group exhibition Untitled.
Seven young artist-photographers from Milano will have their works exposed to finance a project concerning art education for kids in elementary school, promoted by the association “Un Mondo a Scuola”.
Untitled was born to give more visibility to creative Italian youngsters, who have chosen to express themselves through photographic image. That is when the event "Salone del Mobile" in Milano becomes an important window, a strong opportunity for young talents to be seen.
The exhibition will show recent works by Giulia Astesani, Polly Balitro, Martina Corà, Marco Dapino, Alberto Locatelli, Daniele Pennati and Alessandro Teoldi.
Giulia Astesani prefers pure formality and conceptual perfection of clean and silent still life which gives out a sense of uncertain balances; Polly Balitro‘s images bring back long gone stories, that the artist re-collects to give them a new life through her personal emotion and experiences; Martina Corà tells us about a journey through blurry images, with colours and compositions close to Ghirri and Fontana’s photography; the work by Alessandro Teoldi wants to underline details and frames of family portraits, to give new life to unknown characters, that are somehow connected to his own existence, by using empty spaces and concepts like absence; Marco Dapino presents a work that tells us about the peculiar relationship that we might have with our childhood home, through intense colours and highly saturated images he recalls past memories, that are now seen by adult, maybe more mature, eyes; Alberto Locatelli presents a litterary-photographic puzzle inspired by the chiasmatic reversibility among human and nature, in which nature regains spaces once belonging to humans, relentlessly changing their environment and appearance; Daniele Pennati's images are a sort of survey consisting of a path throughout several places that constitute the city of Milan.
