La Triennale di Milano, Impluvium
April 14th -19th 2010 / 10h.30 - 22h.00
“Young Creative Poland” exhibition presents the best of the young, emerging design scene in Poland.
A showcase for young designers exhibiting innovative and exciting projects in various creative fields: furniture design, industrial design, graphic design, fashion, animation, architecture, engineering and street art.
Poland has one of the most vibrant and active design scenes in Europe.
Building upon its inheritance of the strong creative movement which developed in Poland from the 1930’s to the 1960’s. Rare documents illustrating this body of work and historical participation of Polish designers at the Triennale exhibitions are shown in this exhibition.
They represent a preview of a future initiative intended to illustrate Polish 20th century culture to a wider public.
Poland is also a very important player amongst the most renowned international furniture producers. An expertise, born from a long tradition, used by several important international brands who have been manufacturing their products in Poland for many years. Today a fundamental change is taking place: Polish companies are opening to the global arena, proposing their own vision to the design community and promoting their own brands on the international market.
