At week's design will be presented a collection of lamps, parchment and metal pieces, made by Mauro Fabbro, a young designer from Milan.
The twentieth century tradition that witnessed the conceptual recovery and practical use of materials with a strong historical connotation and an inherent manual nature was a tradition of high-flown ideals. It was the legacy left behind by such designers as Carlo Bugatti and Jean-Michel Frank regarding the use of parchment, for instance, which Mauro Fabbro has interpreted anew in this series of sculptures made of light: where parchment contentedly collides with the brutality of wrought iron and the ancient opaqueness of metal, while light wends its absolute de-materiation.
