When: from 14 April 2010 until 19 April 2010
Location: Instituto Cervantes Milàn
via Dante, 12

Published on: Tuesday 16 February

The Asociación Proyecta, in collaboration with AECID, (Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarollo), located in the cultural spaces of the Instituto Cervantes in via Dante, 12, will be organizing an original and amazing culinary setting.

The exhibit will be revealing, the new Spanish cuisine, one of the most unique and creative in the world.

The cuisine is already recognized as a proper language, one that uses new culinary technologies to express itself, and to wake up the sensations and emotions of diners.

Many business sectors including those that make kitchen tools and utensils, restaurants, food products, culinary publications and media are all involved together because of the passion for cooking which can transform eating into a emotional and intellectual experience, where state of mind and revelation play a fundamental role.

Cooks and designers all collaborate together to give new forms to food so that the structure, the tastes, and the contrast of aromas can all be appreciated.

The exhibits of both the Papila and Foodjects collections display the very best in Spanish culinary design.

Papila

Dedicated to the young designers, “Food design”, represents an innovative creative vision inspired by looking at food in a manner that is far from the culinary tradition.

What is realized is that food can be modified to improve its structure function and the way it interacts and communicates with diners.  Elements such as sugar, chocolate, or ways to make coffee or tea, can be used to create new tastes.

Foodjects

In Spain the creative relationship between chefs, designer and firms, and a careful selection of more than 100 objects is well established and has resulted in this innovative exhibition which spells out the vision of the new Spanish cuisine, transforming it into an experience that can be felt both cerebrally and emotionally, as well as, through reflection.  It is the restoration of a journey that began years ago and previously instituted by already established Spanish designers.

The exhibition reflects the vitality and creative richness of the diverse Spanish regions, especially in the field of design and areas of specialty such as the innovation and renewal of traditional cuisine.
