SUN, design and experimentation for a brand new concept of OUThenticity
Outdoor outfits, items, and furnishing are only part of OUTentico, the exhibiting event that SUN, the International Exhibition of Outdoor Products, was invited to organize at the premises of the Architects’ Association of the Milan Province on occasion of Fuorisalone (April 22-27).
According to the indoor-outdoor merger philosophy, the event develops through concept-based isles in the location’s déhors and continues in the rooms inside the historical building in downtown via Solferino 19.
The cooperation between SUN and the Association results into a range of prototypes, products non-products, conceived by archistars and young Outdoor Design talents. Because the outdoor concept is not a recent invention. What is new is its interpretation, a product of man’s creativity: the germ of design is something recent, an object of formal and material experimentation, of fluid creativity, imagination and geometric rigour.
