Design, technology, nature and art: Lumen Center Italia novelties.
There is the light. There is the project. Innovation and creativity. A clear mix which is perceived, but it doesn’t
rule, as in all lines of the thirty years of business of the Santo Stefano Ticino company.
Lumen Center Italia’s stand is a space that is fi lled with new items made for the occasion that provide support
or set design to the new pieces in the collection. As if it were in a museum in which each exposed object has its
own reason for existence depending on the mounting and on the exhibition.
Wooden games in big size signed Ludea – sister company of DMC VillaTosca Design group, which Lumen Center
Italia belongs to. Tables made up of parts of the lamp Leaves assembled so unusual. And then, in the corner
devoted to lamps Shadow as technologic sentinel, there are two monoliths made of DuPont‰ Corian‚ which
spread light and music. These white forms act as a sounding-board to the sound of a mp3 player to which they
are connected. This is an experimental project carried out by Studio Marconato e Zappa in collaboration with
Dupont experts.
On the background, a great attention to sensory impressions makes the environment a place to be invented and
customized in which to dive and from which to draw energy. The 9 novelties presented in this edition of
Euroluce express at best the company’s DNA which conceives the product as an original and harmonic item.
This is the result of the unhampered development of creativity applied to updated marketing studies and
supported by new technical challenges.
The lamps Shadow and Iceglobe will be also on exposure at Centro Cucine Comprex in Via Turati 7, Milan,
from 22nd to 27th April.
