Following last year’s launch of their first collection, Samare returns to Milan to present a new selection of objects. With this new collection, Samare expands on the philosophy at the heart of their project without abandoning their original ideals: to present functional and aesthetic objects inspired by Canadian cultural heritage. This season, the collective’s universe is enlarged thanks to the use of new techniques, combined with a deep understanding of traditional materials. Samare expresses itself through work that is rigorously unique and handmade in Canada.

The Montreal gallery Commissaires, presents in collaboration with Samare and Kwangho Lee the premiere of Tissé-Métissé. Representing a cross-reference of cultures and traditional weaving techniques, the showcased works come together to introduce a harmony between Canadian and Korean contemporary objects. Installation and one-of-a-kind pieces will be on display at the Giureconsulti Palace.

Samare will also be present at the heart of Milan fairgrounds : the collective will be part of the selection of emerging designers participating in the Salone Satellite.

Acclaimed by leading international magazines, Samare’s pieces are shown in the world’s most prestigious galleries. Samare’s pieces are prized by collectors, as recently seen in the acquisition of the Mountie stool by the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Montréal for their permanent decorative arts collection. Samare is Laurie and Mania Bedikian, Nicolas Bellavance-Lecompte, and Patrick Meirim de Barros.
Samare is participating in the Milan Furniture Fair thanks to their partnership with the Government of Quebec.
