LEALiCi and Roberta Senise at the 2009 week of design
At 2009 design week in Milan Alice Leonardi (LEALiCi) and Roberta Senise two artists always seeking for new and different materials and an uncommon way to use them, will display their new projects surfing between design and art, fun and sustainability.
The event will be performed at AVS,(www.veronicasacchi.it) an association whose object is promotion, support and formation of young volunteers. The sale proceed will finance an AVS project
LEALiCi by Alice Leonardi is the realization of a creative idea which develops around the unpredictable re-using of objects, the shrewd inventive, the construction and realization of new things from any kind of materials. Lamps, furnishings, small charms. LEALiCi means ideas, manual work, trial, handicraft, originality, color, challenge. A small door to leave any convention and move into the attack of the formal vision of things gently overturning it..
A HYMNE FOR MY CREATURES by Roberta Senise is a collection of P:E:T: bottles and papier-mâché sculptures of animals and objects, painted and decorated with unusual materials. Funny, lively, ironic every piece is a pleasant surprise, more and more funny when the observer discovers what is hidden inside
Their products are low-cost designs with a do-it-yourself attitude , made using everyday life objects or recycling used waste, making them not only available to everybody but also suggesting the possibility to imitate their design. The concern for the environmental impact and the social sustainability as well as a revolutionary perspective in the vision of things and world are behind DustCArt philosophy.
DustCArt will finance the project "A smile in the ward" to help the children neurosurgery ward of Kiev Hospital to survive
