The Debut of PEGA
After separating from Taiwanese electronics giant ASUS, Pegatron started its own business in 2008. Its design department, commonly known as PEGA, has endeavored to tap the world design industry with its solid background in electrical and mechanical engineering.
Design companies often lack mechanical and electrical engineering support. Consequently, they lack resources for technological advancement, not to mention innovation. PEGA is taking advantage of its award-winning design and global experience in mechanical engineering and electrical engineering to enhance and create more possibilities for modern life with the former and to make technology more approachable with the latter.
In 2006, Designers from ASUSDESIGN launched a series of daily commodities including Optometer Magnets, Sprouting Matches, Mark Mark, 25th Hour under the theme of “Switched!”. Infiltrating into Life Style Design, designers promoted a different attitude towards life through its creative design. It also participated in the biannual Salone Satellite 2007 and the 1st Taiwan Designer’s Week.
This year, PEGA will release 8 new products in an exhibition under the theme of “Between On & Off” and attract international attention as a new brand in Salone Internationale del Mobile di Milano. Acknowledging the trend in interactive interface, PEGA has taken the initiative to instill a new attitude toward the use of revolutionary technology in life into its customers. “Between On and Off” is to be moved to internationally renowned design exhibitions, Maison & Objet in Paris and the 100% Design in Shanghai.
PEGA’s “Between ON & OFF” will run from April 16th to April 21st at Zona Tortuna, the most popular furniture design exhibition area outside the exhibition hall. A PEGA Night is scheduled for 6-9PM on April 18th. You are cordially to join us and share the joy of design under the night sky of Milan.
