Saporiti Italia at Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro

Following the success of the 2006 and 2007 editions, Saporiti Italia presents INSIDE ART 2008, the laboratory that shows inside the beautiful spaces of Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro the researches done by Saporiti Italia to create pieces of furniture devoted to art and architecture spaces.

 This year edition develops the theme of the relations between internal and external, inside and outside, indoor and outdoor.

 The workshop explores the design of gardens, terraces, green walls and parks, to search for new functions and new objects suitable to these outdoor spaces.

Meanwhile, the research experiments the mutation of materials, functions and shapes typically destined to an “outdoor use” to transform them into an “indoor application”, with the scope to create a new Saporiti indoor/outdoor collection.

 To do this, Saporiti Italia selected a panel of international designers and asked them to verify the dicothomy, the relations or the contaminations between outdoor and indoor sites, interior design and architecture, domestic and public objects.

 The protagonists of this research are Pierluigi Cerri and Alessandro Colombo (Milan), Joel Chui (Shanghai), Marti Guixé (Barcelona), Eric Maria (Geneva), Mauro Lipparini (Florence), Park Associati (Milan), Carlos Zapata (New York).

The results of this workshop will be presented from April 16^th to 20^th 2008 in the breathtaking spaces of Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro, in a setting designed by Pierluigi Cerri and Alessandro Colombo who will create an art and design garden spread over an area of 4,000 square meters.
