Alfalux supports design and takes part in the Milan Fuorisalone.
A Fuorisalone event, housed in the former San Carpoforo church in Via Formentini 10/12, is to present the work of students of the Brera Academy Artistic Design course, with an exhibition entitled “Made in Brera”.
Alfalux will have a part to play in this initiative, where it has an opportunity to give strong backing to new design trends and to present its collections in an unusual and intriguing way.
Alfalux is contributing to producing the designs as sponsor, building the structures and also supplying some ranges of tiles to be used for cladding each individual piece on display in an exhibition created by the Architects Roberto Semprini and Filippo De Filippi.
Six animals, highly conceptual, with shapes reduced to a minimum, and six tile collections, the Brera Academy and the Alfalux brand - all together in Milan for the Salone del Mobile 2008 and with a common purpose: to promote design and support young designers.
From 17 to 19 April 2008, the former San Carpoforo church will host an animal zoo, comprising a French poodle, a dromedary, a dog, a horse, a snake and a giraffe, entirely built by Alfalux and cladded with tiles from the Ardesia, Silex, Absolute, Karat, Nepal and Vertigo collections, introducing new concepts in a constant cross-referencing between design innovation and the world of ceramic tiles.
This important event will finally consolidate the strong link existing between the brand name and the world of design. It’s a partnership that has long been one of the dominant themes in the Alfalux collections, and which is clearly expressed in Karat, Glitter and Planet – the Star System range of products that came out of the collaboration with Strass® Swarovski® Crystal - classy and elegant, and designed for those who love luxury in all its forms.
Alfalux brings us new design aesthetics for living, with collections that spring from technology and the feeling for the material, both directed towards experiencing the house from a new perspective.
So design manifests itself in a ceramic surface and creates a completely new space for style, to be enjoyed and savoured through the elegance of the Alfalux collections. It’s this feeling for the design and the material that the company has managed to transfer perfectly into “Made in Brera”, the Fuorisalone event taking place from 17 to 19 April 2008 in the surroundings of the former San Carpoforo church in Via Formentini 10/12, Milan.
