JAPAN DESIGN 2008 – INNOVATION
“Japan Design 2008 – Innovation” is a collaborated exhibition held by 15 established
Japanese companies, which are proactive to approaching towards design.
Environmental issue and creative communication are words of worldwide concern.
In this exhibition, we present regions of design that foresees near future, and will
approach latest Japanese design through exhibited products and examples of
concepts. Experience the latest Japan Design in wide range of fields, genre of
design that represent Japanese society of today, such as mobile communications,
vehicles for individual use, as well as furniture, electronic product with high
technology, and else.
All the companies participating at the exhibition received the Good Design Award
prize. The Good Design Award (G-mark system) were established in 1957 and are
Japan's only comprehensive design evaluation and commendation system under
purpose of attaining improvement in quality of life and advancement of industry
through design. The Award has a wide range of subject today. Shifting from
conventional areas such as product design, communication design, and architecture
& environment to experimental design in new fields, the Award is leading today's
world of design.
