present new releases and projects on the occasion of Fuorisalone 2008.
Semplicemente is a truly cross-section of Playdesign's activity, an harmonious team of creative minds that love to work together, looking for fresh and original planning solutions. By this principle of absolute transparency and by the enthusiasm to work as designers moved the decision to furnish a little expositive room in the breathtaking scene of Porta Genova Navigli.
The title - semplicemente - underlines the naturalness in facing every project and the honesty typical of the professionalism of the three young designers but also the human bounds that the team has built and wants to build in the future with staff, clients and creative partners. This led Playdesign to host at this exhibition not only its works and projects but also products of some collegues and collaborators, such as RHA lamps (created by Sphaus), Diego Sferrazza's MU lamps (made by Sforzin Illuminazione) and some work of the photographer Giovanni Alfieri.
The location is an historical piece of 'milanesità'. Milan, considered one of the most sparkling cities in design and events linked to its world, during the 'Salone del Mobile' week, opens its doors involving planners, students, architects, entrepreneurs and curious men. In this atmosphere of sharing events and aims, the private scale is mixed with the public one. It comes from this principle the motivation that pushed Semplicemente promoters to choose the porter's lodge of an historical bulding in Milan as a perfect location: the porter's lodge, in fact, is considered an istitution, historically rooted in the city, the best screen between public (the road) and private (the house) way.
The exhibition hosts a lot of products linked to the house world, from the gentle little spoons Coffe Spoons to the wooden book-shelves Pallet, from the rocking chair for kids B_chair to the unusual carpet Tapparello, from the nice spaghetti-batcher Mario to the elegant collection of rings 100per100
